“Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp.” – Numbers 11:1

Hi, all! Thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown me in reading. I am thankful to God for you. As always, I appreciate you!
We know that God hates sin. And yes, He loves the sinner. But there are some things that really kindle God’s anger. When the children of Israel were wandering in the wilderness, they complained about everything. They complained about the food, they complained about water, and they even complained about their leader – Moses.
The text tells us that when the people complained, it displeased the Lord and His anger was aroused (Numbers 11:1). Friends, it’s the same way with us today. When we complain, it displeases the Lord. He doesn’t want us complaining about what we don’t have, how things are, or how we want them to be. God wants us to be thankful for what we do have and how He has blessed our lives.
We are commanded to “do all things without complaining and disputing” (Philippians 2:14). Our whole duty is to do those things which please the Lord and not the things that will bring Him displeasure. So let’s be thankful and stop complaining. Before you let yourself utter a complaint, catch yourself and turn that thought into something for which you are grateful.
Things could always be far worse than they are. Life’s circumstances are meant to make us stronger. So let’s not wallow in the mire of self-pity and complaining. It doesn’t do any good or change our situations in life, anyway.
It pleases the Lord when we are grateful. And I’m so grateful for you! I’m also grateful for the salvation that Christ offers to all who obey Him. You can be saved if you will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, confess the name of Jesus, and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you can be grateful for a home reserved for you in heaven.
Instead of complaining, I’m going to be thankful. I hope you’ll join me.
