Live Each Day for Jesus: Embrace Today As a Gift

“Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” – Hebrews 4:17

Psalm 118:24 – This Is The Day That The Lord Has Made

Hi, friends! I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for your continued kindness and your show of love toward me in reading my blog. I’m so thankful to God for you. I pray His blessings upon you and your family. And as always, I appreciate you!!!!

This is the day that the Lord has made! Let’s rejoice and be gald in it!!

Today may be my last day on this earth. Today may be your last day on earth. None of us knows for sure when our final day is coming. But all of our days are numbered. Just as God knows the number of every hair on our heads (Matthew 10:30), He has appointed a time for each of us to die (Hebrews 9:27).

Because of that, I’m choosing this day to intentionally live this day and every day like it’s my last. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us, as James 4:13-15 details. So why not live each day for Jesus? Why not live each day loving, serving, and shining our light in the world?

Friends, Jesus is Lord. He is the Savior of the world. He offers salvation from sin, salvation from death, and salvation from eternal damnation to all who obey Him (Hebrews 5:9). Here’s the obedience God requires:

  1. Believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24);
  2. Confess that He is Lord (Matthew 10:32-33);
  3. Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38), and;
  4. Be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38).

How will you live this day? If you haven’t given your life to Christ in obedience, will you? I hope that it’s not your last day. But if it is for any of us, let’s live for Jesus. Let’s move, speak, and think intentionally throughout our day today. Because, truly, today is all we have; God made it so let’s rejoice in it. And let’s make it count!
