Do you ever want to read the Bible and study it more but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you read the Bible regularly, but you yearn for deeper study and understanding? I get it. Sometimes, we need a little push to dig deeper in the Word of God. Other times, we need someone to keep us accountable. And most of the time, we need both!
That’s why I want to invite you to do a systematic study with me this year. The study is called “The Hand of God”; it’s a Digging Deep study by my dear sister in Christ and friend Cindy Colley. The book has a chapter for each month of the year. And it’s a guided study that prompts you to read passages and answer questions about them.
Sometimes the study prompts you to do research about a person in the Bible or a specific topic. Each chapter includes a Practically Speaking section that ties all the month’s study together and may include a service project you can complete.
I’m excited about this study. One reason is that it’s about the hand of God. And one of my favorite scriptures is about the righteous right hand of God. It’s Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isn’t that a beautiful promise? I love it!
I already have my book. Thanks, Cindy and Glenn! They’ve been shipping books feverishly. The study begins September 1st, and there’s a whole group of women already ready to begin. You can join the Facebook group of women studying for added accountability, to ask questions along the way, or to share insights you are gaining. Cindy also does monthly live podcasts reviewing each chapter and posts regular audio mini-lessons to help you in your study.

I know the Lord’s hand has been present all throughout my life. Without His righteous right hand upholding me, I don’t know where I’d be. He’s brought me through loss of loved ones, sickness, difficult jobs, heartbreak, and many other trials. And you can probably point out the hand of God in your life, too.
