“Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:9-10

Hey, everyone! I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for your continued show of love and support of my blog. I appreciate you!!!
You may be going through something difficult right now. You may already have been through something challenging. Or maybe something difficult is around the corner. Whatever the case may be, I want you to know that the Lord God delivers.
When the apostle Paul described his and Timothy’s troubles, he said, “Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us” (2 Corinthians 1:9-10).
Just as the Lord delivered them, He has delivered us from eternal death; He is delivering us, and He will still deliver us.
God is so faithful. We can put our trust in Him.
The Lord has made a way for us to be delivered through His Son Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins. All we have to do is obey Him. Here’s what obedience entails.
- Believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24).
- Confess that Jesus is Lord (Matthew 10:32-33).
- Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3).
- Be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38).
- Live a faithful life in service to the Lord (Revelation 2:10).
The Lord delivers those who are obedient to Him. Will you take the necessary steps, as described above, so that you can be delivered from eternal death?
Which of these steps toward obedience feels like your biggest focus right now? Let us know below so we can support and pray with you!
