“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” – Galatians 4:4-5

Hi, everyone! I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for the love and kindnesses you show toward me in reading and sharing my blog. I’m so very thankful to the Lord for you. And as always, I appreciate you!!
Finding Home in the Family of God
If you had to describe what home is and means to you, what word or words would you choose? For me, there’s only one word: family. Some people are blessed to have a loving, kind, and thoughtful family. Others are born into less-than-ideal families.
But, no matter what kind of family you are born into, there’s nothing like the family of God.
Adopted as God’s Own
I love my sisters and brothers in Christ. And more than that, I love that God has adopted me as His own child. “When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons” (Galatians 4:4-5).
God is so good. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for me and for you so that we could be a part of His family. That confounds me.
He Chose the Cross
In worship today, we sang, “He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels.” Its beautiful words brought me to tears because Jesus didn’t have to die. He chose to die – on the cross, alone – for me and you.
He did this even though He could have summoned thousands of angels to be at His side. But He didn’t. He bore sins on the cross that were not His. He died just so that I could live and so that you could live.
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
Because Jesus did that, I am God’s child. And all those who obey Him are my brothers and sisters in Christ.
How to Become a Child of God
If you are not a part of God’s family, you can be! All you have to do is obey Christ in belief, in confession, in repentance, in baptism, and in living faithfully for the Lord always. Do you want to be a part of God’s family? If so, then don’t delay!
