“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

Good day, everyone! I hope that you are well! The Lord is so good. I’m thankful for all of His many blessings – including you! As always, I appreciate you!!!
What is your main pursuit in life?
Some people go after money. Others strive for happiness. Some chase men or women. While others seek a title or a career. But, I pursue God. The Hebrews writer encourages us to “pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). If we want to make it to an eternal home with Jesus Christ the Lord, we must be holy. And we must be at peace with all people. We must run after and follow God wholeheartedly.
For those of us who follow Christ, He “has saved us and called us with a holy calling” (2 Timothy 1:9). We must take up our crosses daily and follow Jesus. Our sole purpose in life must be relentlessly pursuing Christ and being like Him.
It doesn’t mean that we can’t have other goals like being healthier, learning a new language, or simply trying something new. But our main focus must be on striving after the Lord. He left this earth after resurrecting from the dead, and He went home to heaven. That’s where I want to be – wherever Jesus is. If He is in the valley, that’s where I’ll follow. If he’s in green pastures, I’ll make my way there. On the mountaintop? There I’ll be also. Wherever Jesus is, I pursue Him.
When you think about the grand scheme of things, will a title really matter? Will a degree? Can you take your money with you after you’ve left this earth? No! Temporary things are just that.
So let’s pursue peace and holiness. Let’s pursue God.
