Some of God’s promises feed the soul like non other. In Hosea 13:14, the Lord promised that death will have no punishment and the grave will not even have a sting for His people. I love that promise! Here’s the verse.
“I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.” – Hosea 13:14
The apostle Paul quotes this in 1 Corinthians 15:55. And in verses 56-57, he says, “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
We have victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ! All we have to do is obey Him to walk in that victory. What a beautiful promise.
