Call to Obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ

“And to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.” – 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8

Jesus is coming soon.
Obey the Gospel of Christ

Hi everyone! I hope that you are well. Thank you for your continued show of support. I appreciate you!

I am so thankful that Jesus has saved me from sin and a life that was leading to hell. I have come to Jesus. I am coming to Him daily. I will continue to “come to Him” as I am commanded. I know the saving power of Jesus. That’s why I compel you and others to come to Him, as well.

No one caught in a fire will tell the one trying to rescue them to escape first. They won’t say not to worry about them. No. Someone who is perishing and about to die will willingly let someone pull them out of the fire. They will accept help from anyone who will grab hold of their hand. If you don’t believe in Jesus, and you haven’t obeyed the gospel, then you are someone who is perishing.

Someone grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the fire. And I am forever grateful for that. So, I am imploring you to obey the call of Jesus so you won’t suffer eternal damnation.

Anyone who does not obey the gospel of Jesus Christ will face consequences. They will endure a flaming fire when the Lord returns. This is according to 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8.

Notice Revelation 21:8. “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

If you are unbelieving, you don’t have to stay that way. The church is made up of people who once were a lot of things – including thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, adulterers, and murderers. But, we were washed. We were sanctified. We were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:10-11). You can be, too!

Obey the gospel of Jesus today: believe that Jesus is Lord. Repent of your sinful living. Confess that Jesus is Lord. Be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will be saved – saved from the fiery pits of hell.

Won’t you obey the gospel today?

Actually, the church still has thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, adulterers, and murderers among us, and some of them are not yet washed in the blood of the Lamb, but are as “blemishes in [our] love feasts.”
But people must not confuse the Church with Jesus!
Allow Him to sort us out at the end and reach for Him, not an imperfect Church, but within the community of those who call on the Name of Jesus.

Repentance requires a change of heart and behavior is the point I was making, along with the fact that God saves people who are caught up in all kinds of worldly things. We all were once something before becoming a Christian.

The scripture you referenced in Jude is talking about false and wicked teachers who come in among the flock as wolves in sheep’s clothing. Their deeds show who they truly are, as a tree is known by the fruit it bears.

But the Bible is clear that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God. We must get right with the Lord now while we have the chance and snatch others out of the fire before it’s too late.

The church is the body of Christ. It is sanctified by the blood of Jesus. And it is made up of those who obey Him. Those who call on His name are the church. We can’t separate Christ from the church. It belongs to Him.

Thanks so much for your comments! 😊
