Christ Leads The Way

“For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a [a]perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” – James 3:2

Hi, friends! I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for continuing to follow along with me on this journey of mine toward heaven. As always, I appreciate you!!!

Today, I’m reflecting on James chapter 3, particularly verses 1 and 2. “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” I realize that I have a great duty in teaching through my articles on this blog.

My hope in writing is to lead those who don’t know Jesus Christ and His saving power to His glorious gospel – that they might obey Him and experience the love of God. My aim in writing is also to encourage my brothers and sisters who are already in Christ.

I don’t take either of those lightly, as I am aware that teachers will be judged more strictly than others.

And also, in encouraging my brothers and sisters in Christ, I always want to do as Galatians 6:1 commands. “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.”

I’m not perfect by any means. I have been giving the privilege an honor by God to share the message of Jesus my Lord. As James 3:2 says, we all stumble in many things. And considerng all things, I know that I can sometimes come across harshly when conveying the truth of God’s Word.

But I don’t ever want my passion for truth to get in the way of showing compassion, gentleness, and kindness because I need those same things. So, if I have ever come across that way in the things I’ve said or the way I have said them, I am sorry.

I just want us all to get to heaven. That’s why my prayer is always for God to show me where I’ve fallen short of the will of my Lord and Savior Jesus so that I can make it right and make it home to be with HIm.

Is heaven your home? If not, you can make it so by obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s simple: believe that Jesus is Lord, confess that Jesus is Lord, repent of your sins, and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins.
