From Death to Life
Today I’m reflecting on just how far the Lord has brought me. I am not ashamed to say that Jesus pulled me from death to life. I was dead in sin, living how I wanted outside of the will of Christ. But God had a different plan. He saved me from the power of sin and death. And I know that He can do the same for you!
None of Us Are Beyond God’s Reach
All of us fall short of the Lord God’s standard (Roman 3:23). The account of the Samaritan woman reminds me that the Lord can use whoever He wants – no matter what they’ve done or what they’ve been through.
Jesus Knows Our Story: The Woman at the Well
The Samaritan woman had already had 5 husbands and was living with a man who wasn’t her husband. Jesus knew before she even spoke a word. And He told her that He would become to her a fountain orf water springing to everlasting life – and to anyone else who would drink of Him (John 4:14).
Living Water for a Thirsty Soul
The woman went and told everyone about Jesus the Christ. “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, ‘He told me all that I ever did’” (John 4:39). Jesus is in the saving business. He can use the most unlikely of individuals.
Your Story Can Point Others to Jesus
The Lord saved me – by the blood and righteousness of my Savior Jesus Christ. And He can and will save you, too! All you have to do is obey Him in belief, in confession, in repentance, and in baptism.
Come and See a Man
Where has Jesus brought you from, and how has He changed your life? What will you do with the Man who knows everything you’ve ever done—and still offers you living water? And who might God be calling you to reach with your story?
Come see a Man…Jesus Christ the Lord.
