“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” – John 20:31
Hey friends! Thank you, once again, for reading and showing me so much love and support. I love you back! And, as always, I appreciate you!!
We’ve established a few things about Jesus thus far. He was a Prophet, He is a Priest, and He is King. But Jesus wasn’t just only those things. He’s more than just a mere man. Jesus is God.
That’s why so many were angry with Him and wanted Him dead. “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God” (Jn. 5:18). Jesus said, “I and My Father are one” (Jn. 10:30). He and God the Father are one.
Jesus, like God the Father, has the power to forgive sins (Mtt. 9:6). The Word describes Him as the eternally blessed God (Rom. 9:5). And He’s set to judge the living and the dead, just like God the Father (2 Tim. 4:1).
Lastly, Jesus Christ’s blood is called the blood of God (Acts 20:28). And He shed that blood for you and me. You can come into contact with that blood for the forgiveness of your sins and all your wrongdoing by being baptized. And you can live a life in service to Jesus Christ, the God of heaven.
Will you believe that Jesus is more than a Prophet, more than a Priest, and more than a King – more than just a man?
Will you believe that Jesus is God and Lord? I hope that you will.
