As we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today, may we reflect on his unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and peace for all humankind.
We have a wonderful example in Dr. King of all the good causes we should champion. And we have a perfect example in Christ Jesus of how we are to treat one another – with love, kindness, and respect.
May we all always treat others how we want to be treated. And may we also think about the role we play in ensuring that we all are one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.
“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12).
