How long are you going to neglect to receive the promise – the inheritance – that God has given you? How long will you ignore God’s call to obey His Son Jesus? How long will you disregard the gift of eternal salvation – of an abundant life in Christ? How long?
The Lord has provided a wonderful gift for us. But receiving a gift requires action. Just like the Israelites had to go and get the land that God gave them, we must also take action to obtain the inheritance that God has freely given us.
The actions we must take to receive the gift of salvation are:
- Believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24).
- Confess that Jesus is Lord (Matthew 10:32-33).
- Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3).
- Be baptized – immersed – for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16)
How long will you neglect to possess what God has given you? How long?
