The Lord WIll Provide – Genesis 22:14

Hi, everyone. I hope that you are well. Thanks so much for your continued show of support of my blog. As I always, I appreciate you!!

The Lord has so many attributes and so many names. We’ve looked at God as a protector and a deliverer. If you have ever been a hungry college student but somehow always managed to eat; if you’ve ever been sick and got well, or; if you have ever been waiting on a check to hit so you could pay the rent or a bill and you kept a roof over your head, then you know, just as many of us do, that the Lord God provides.

Yes, the Lord is a provider. Do you remember how He provided Abraham with a ram in the bush when he was about to sacrifice his son Isaac on the altar? The Bible says, “And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, ‘In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided’ (Genesis 22:14).

God has made provisions for His people so many times and in so many ways. He provided the Israelites with pillars of cloud and of fire while they were wandering through the wilderness (Exodus 13:21). He also provided them with manna from heaven and quail to eat. He provided the widow of Zarepheth with food to eat (1 Kings 17:8-16). The list goes on and on of numerous times that the Lord has provided for His people.

He has provided for me, too, throughout my life. I remember thinking at several separate points in time how I was going to make it through a certain situation. And like clockwork, the Lord provided for me – every time!

Do you know what else God has provided for us?

He’s provided love, peace, joy, hope, forgiveness, and salvation. He’s provided an opportunity for us to have a relationship with Him.

God has made these provisions for us through His Son, Jesus. If you want them, all you have to do is obey the Lord. You do this by following the steps below.

How to Receive the Provision of Salvation in Your Life:

  1. Believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24).
  2. Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Romans 10:9-10)
  3. Repent of your sins (Acts 17:30), and;
  4. Be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16).

How has the Lord provided for you in times of need or when you didn’t even know you needed what He had to provide? Share your experiences. I’d love to hear them.

To sum it all up, the Lord gives us just what we need in the way that we need it and when we need it. He’s made provisions for our most important need – the salvation of our souls. We can have what He’s provided when we obey Him.

Thank the Lord for being a great Provider!
