God’s Work Cannot be Hindered

“[…] For if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” – Acts 5:38-39

I don’t know about you, but living in this world has me paranoid about a lot of things. With so many scammers, phishing attempts, and fake information out in the world today, it’s enough to make anyone suspicious of everything and everyone. Unfortunately, many people doubt the teachings of Christ and that He is Lord. But we have an empty grave that proves that the Savior of the world lives!!

Have you ever been in a situation where you questioned everything? I mean the kind of questions that are produced by doubt that anything or anyone is actually genuine or sincere anymore.

Well, I have been there. And I will tell you upfront: it’s not a fun place to be.

So, I made up my mind to trust God; that if something is of His working and a part of His plan, it will not be able to be overthrown. And if it isn’t from God, it will come to nothing.

That’s what the Bible says in Acts 5:38 in reference to the Apostles’ teachings about Jesus. “[…] For if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” The underlying principle applies today.

If a plan or work is from humans’ doing, then it won’t prosper. But, if it is from God, not one person or thing will be able to hinder or prevent it from happening.

God’s plans will always prevail. The Lord’s work will be seen to completion.

So, whatever it is that may have you stressed, worried, or even doubtful about whether it’s genuinely something good for you or not, know that if it’s not, it will not succeed.

Oh, but if it is….!!! If it is from the Lord, nothing will be able to stop it.
