“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” – Psalm 34:19

Hi, everyone. I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for continuing to read and show your support. I appreciate you!!
Last time, we looked at God as Protector. He plays many roles in our lives. The Lord is so good to me. He’s good to us all. And He comes through for us in the toughest times. God is a deliverer.
The Lord has delivered me so many times and in so many different ways throughout my life. I couldn’t even begin to list all the things He has done. There’s just so many. But most importantly, He has delivered me from the power of death and sin. He saved me by the sacrifice of His Son, all in my stead. I’m so very grateful.
The Bible says in Psalm 34:19, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Notice the scripture doesn’t say few are the afflictions of the righteous. Nor does it say some. It doesn’t even say none. But if we are followers of Christ and living for Him, we will have many troubles.
I know that sounds gloomy, but the verse doesn’t end there. It says that the Lord delivers the righteous out of them all.
That comfort, that assurance, and that hope of the scripture is sustaining.
The Lord will deliver us. I’m so thankful that God is a deliverer. He delivered the children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt. He delivered Daniel in the lion’s den. He delivered the Hebrew boys out of the fiery furnace. He delivered Jesus from the temptation of the devil. And He delivers from death all those who choose to obey Him.
What a wonderful Deliverer.
God can deliver you out of your current situation. Whatever you are going through, the Lord knows. He understands it and how it affects you. Turn to the Lord for help. He will deliver you.
Now, it may not be in the way you want to be delivered or in the timing you’d like, but God can set you free of whatever has you bound. He will save you.
Will you allow the Lord to deliver you from all your troubles, from sin, and from death? If yes, then obey Him by following His commands. His commands are clear: believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24); confess that Jesus is Lord (Matthew 10:32); repent of your sins (Luke 13:3); and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16).
The Lord wants to deliver you. That’s who He is – a deliverer. He’s good like that. He’s great like that. And I love it.
If the Lord has delivered you in any way, ever, share your experience. It may help someone gain the confidence in knowing that they, too, can be delivered.
Do you know God as Deliverer?
