“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” – Psalm 18:2

Hi everyone! I hope that you are well. Thank you once again for all your support in reading my blog. Your show of love means so much to me. I appreciate you!!!
When I think about God and my Savior, Jesus, so much comes to mind. He is a provider, He is a deliverer, He is a healer, He is a helper, and He is a forgiver. What noun comes to mind when you think of God? This week, I’ve been meditating on how the Lord is a protector.
The Lord has looked out for me in so many ways throughout my life – in many ways I probably am not even aware. The same is surely true for you, too. God is always protecting us from dangers seen and unseen.
“As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him” (Psalm 18:30). A shield protects one from anything that tries to pierce or harm the body. And that’s what the Lord is; He is a shield for us. He protects us from the fiery darts of the enemy through our faith in Him (Ephesians 6:16).
God loves His children, and He always does what’s in our best interest – even when it grieves Him.
God sent His Son, Jesus, from his home in heaven to come to earth and die for the sins of the world – that’s your sins and my sins. Christ took our place. He took on our punishment. He loves us so much. How beautiful. How sacrificial. How great He is.
The protection that Christ offers is available to all. All it takes is obedience to Him in belief (Mark 16:16), in repentance (Acts 17:30), in confession (Matthew 10:32), and in baptism (Acts 2:38). Will you obey Christ to have the protection of salvation that comes only through Him? I hope that you will.
What is one way the Lord has protected you in your life? Share your personal experience with God as Protector.
There is safety in Christ – safety from sins, safety from the enemy, and safety from eternal damnation. Thank the Lord for His continual protection of His people.
