Proclaiming the Great Things God Has Done

“‘Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.’ And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.” – Luke 8:39

Hi, everyone. I hope that you are well. Thank you for continuing to read my blog in your show of support. I appreciate you.

“Nobody told me” is not something you want to say when you meet Jesus on Judgement Day. That’s why I try to tell everyone around me about the Lord and all the things that have happened to me and around me, only by His goodness and grace. But it sadly is the case that, no one will listen or confirm what I’ve shared that they understand it and will choose to obey Jesus.

My wonderful savior sacrificed himself and his own life to take on the sins of the world – your sins and mine! Jesus died on the cross to save a lost and dark world – a world that mistreated an innocent and righteous man who did nothing but help others. He is the light of my world – the whole world. Thankfully, He rose from the grave so that we too could die to sin and rise to live our lives for Him.

As a wife, you want to be able to say, “My husband is a man of integrity who fears God and serves the Lord.” As a friend, a daughter, a neighbor, you want to be able to know that you did your best to share Jesus’ love and His gospel with the ones around you so they too can live for Jesus. You nor I want them to hear, “I never knew” you from the Lord (Matthew 7:23).

Some may get into the study of epistemology, which delves into how one can truly know something. If I have never received valid witness or testimony from anyone to confirm beliefs, perceptions, or suspicions, then how can I really know something to be true? If, for example, I told you in a dream about Jesus, and you tell me later when I’m awake that it never happened in real life and it was just a dream, then I have no confirmation of anything from another person. That’s what the study of epistimology is about. But we have the Bible as our witness for Jesus’ life, his mission, and His death, burial, and resurrection.

So, if you want to live a life that is pleasing to God, if you want your soul to be saved, if you want to make it to heaven, all you need to do is obey Jesus and His commands. Believe that Jesus is Lord, confess that He is, repent of your sins, and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins.

Then you can go and tell what great things God has done for you.
