Christ Leads The Way

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’.” – Hebrews 13:5

There are so many promises of God that we can find in the Bible. Notice 2 Corinthians 1:20: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” We can stand on the promises of God!

Today, I’m standing on the promise in Hebrews 13:5. God declares, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Isn’t that a beautiful promise?

There are so many things in our lives that are not constants. We may lose our jobs. Family members pass. Friendships end. And sometimes, people simply leave our lives. But the Lord has promised us that He will never leave us. No, He won’t forsake us.

No matter what has happened, no matter what we’ve done, Christ stands with his arms out wide waiting for us to come to Him. He’s always there. He won’t ever leave.

That’s comforting. To know that the God of heaven – the Creator of the universe – loves us so much that He won’t forsake us is amazing. Why and how he has that much care and concern for us is beyond me.

But I know that I can trust God’s word. I know that He will always be here for me, especially when I need Him most. What a loving God we serve!
