Holy, Holy, Holy

I regard the Lord God as holy.

I regard the Lord as holy. His name is hallowed above all other names on the earth. None other equates to the Lord God – not a man, not a woman, nor a child. There is none like Him. No one compares to the Lord or can take His place in any form or fashion. The Lord God is holy. He’s the Creator of the universe. He is omnipotent. He’s omniscient. He is omnipresent. I place God first above all others. All of my hope and all of my trust, I put in Him alone. He is the only reason I wake up every morning. There is nobody like the Lord. No one can take His place – not literally, nor figuratively.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth” (Isaiah 40:28). No one can love like the Lord. No one can save like the Lord. No one can heal like the Lord. The Lord is holy, holy, holy.

There are some kind people on the earth who have done noble and honorable things. However, no human has died and shed his blood to save the entire world from sin – only, Christ Jesus. Christ was bruised, stricken, and afflicted so that I can have a right to be called a child of the Living God. The chastisement of my peace was upon Him. It is by His stripes that I am healed. I regard the Lord as holy. His name is to be reverenced. He deserves all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise. If it wasn’t for the Lord I don’t know where I’d be.

I stand with the Lord God. I don’t do anybody’s bidding. Anyone who is against the Lord is against me. And “if God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). The Lord will deliver His people. We can stand on His promises. “He will never allow the righteous to be shaken” (Psalm 55:22). Let us stand firm and trust in the Lord. For He is our refuge, our strong tower, our deliverer. “I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; I will never be shaken (Psalm 62:1-2)”. I regard the Lord as holy.

The Lord God Almighty be exalted. It can be easy to make idols out of people or things, if we are not careful. But, no one is like the Lord God of heaven.

The Lord never sleeps or slumbers. He sees all things. He is aware of what goes on with His people. But, humans aren’t like that; we have to sleep to get reenergized. So, we are not always fully conscious like the Lord. Some people may take advantage of that. Consider the little child who asks his mother for candy while she is asleep. She may very well unknowingly reply “yes” when she normally wouldn’t allow her child to have sweets. Or she might reply with a phrase that is completely irrelevant or untrue because she could be dreaming about something totally different and think she’s responding to that.

So, you can’t always go to people when you need them or take people at their word, and you, especially, can’t take something that someone says in their sleep as gospel when you interject yourself into their dreams. (By the way, don’t ever talk to me in my sleep. No one has that permission.  It’s really a form of mind rape, when you maliciously seek out to force something out of someone that is meant to only be given by choice.) That’s an abuse and a violation of that person, in the first place. You can’t abuse someone and expect them to do what you want them to do. It’ll never happen.

Thank God that He is not like people – that He’s always awake and He’s always watching. We can always go to Him and take Him at His word. The Lord is always aware, and He’s ready to save and to deliver His people. I regard the Lord as holy.

“May the Lord, the God of Israel, be praised from everlasting to everlasting” (Psalm 41:13).
