People Hated Jesus, They Will You Too

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” – John 15:18-19

People Hated Jesus, They Will You Too – John 15:18-19

Hi, friends! I hope that you are well. I just want to tell you how grateful I am for you – each of you. How you show up in the comments and simply being there reading my articles and encouraging me means more than I can express. I am grateful to God for you. And as always, I appreciate you!!!

This world can be relentless! Health issues, death of loved ones, financial hardships, and so many other challenges life throws our way can be enough to bring anyone down. On top of that, there are some in this world who would like to add to other people’s pain and struggles. It can be baffling to understand why. But Jesus explained it clearly.

He said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you” (John 15:18-19).

In essence, Jesus said, “Haters are going to hate.” They even hated Him for no reason! We’re talking about the sinless, Holy Son of God here. If people hated Jesus without a cause, then they will definitely hate you and me (John 15:25).

I just want to encourage you. Let your haters hate. It means you are doing something that is worth talking about and worth their attention. People hated on Jesus, so they will hate on me and you, too.People who hate Christ’s children hate Him, too. And Jesus said that whoever hates Him hates God the Father (John 15:23).

When you are living for the Lord and people hate you, then they are really demonstrating their hate for God. When you can genuinely say, “I’m not of this world,” then you know that’s why the people of the world don’t love you.

The world may reject you, but Jesus has chosen you.

The world may criticize you, but Jesus knows you.

The world may hate you, but Jesus loves you.

So don’t allow the opinions and actions of people to drown out the voice of the One who matters most. Keep your heart right. Continue doing good. And above all, keep following Jesus.

You were never called to fit into this world. You were called to follow Christ.

Let’s follow Jesus.
