Christ Leads The Way

“But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” – Joshua 22:5

Hi everyone! I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for the love you show me in reading my blog. You kind words of encouragement, your comments, and you simply reading mean so much to me. I appreciate you!!!

“Hold fast to dreams,” Langston Hughes famously penned. And what beautiful words of hope and perseverance they are. Like many of you, I’ve had aspirations to do various things, but some of them changed along the way. Dreams can be like that.

I’m not here to tell you to stop dreaming. No, keep aspiring to new heights in every area of your life. I want to encourage you to not allow your dreams to take precedence over Christ.

You may dream of becoming a manager at work so you work late and skip the worship services of the church. You may want to start a family, but instead of waiting on the spouse God has for you, you have children outside of marriage.

There are many things we can aspire to have or become. But we must not allow them to hinder our relationship with the Lord.

What I am here to tell you is: hold fast to Jesus. Let your dreams be centered around Him. No matter what, the Lord is a sure and steadfast anchor. Dreams come and go, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore (Hebrews 13:8).

So, love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, and keep His commandments. That’s what I’m striving to do each and every day. Won’t you join me? Will you serve the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul? Will you hold fast to Jesus?
