“As the Lord had commanded Moses His servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses.” – Joshua 11:15

Hi everyone! I hope you are well. Thank you so much for your show of love and your continued support. I appreciate you!!!
Do you ever leave the laundry unfolded for a couple of days or more? Or have you ever left the dishes in the sink or the dishwasher longer than you would have liked? Maybe there was a day or two you left the bed unmade? I get it. I’ve been there. I’m there right now. Butin all seriousness, some things really can wait, and it’s not a matter of life or death if they are left undone for a short time.
However, when it comes to God’s commands, we must not leave anything undone.
You may argue that there’s no way to do everything God has commanded. To that I say, there is a way. And the way is Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
Jesus made it possible for us to follow God’s commands when He died on the cross of Calvary. He “abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity” (Ephesians 2:14-15).
We are not bound by the 600-plus laws given in the Old Testament. But Christians – followers of Christ – walk by the Spirit. We are complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10). But you can’t get in Christ without obedience to His gospel. The gospel requires of you belief in Jesus, repentance of your sins, confession that Jesus is Lord, and water baptism – immersion for the forgiveness of your sins.
Are you putting that off? If so, what are you waiting on to happen or to change before you do it?
The Bible says of Joshua, the servant of God: “As the Lord had commanded Moses His servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses” (Joshua 11:15).
Joshua left nothing undone. What have you left undone when it comes to your spiritual well-being?
Are you holding onto things, people, or habits that the Lord wants you to let go? If you’ve left the dishes undone, you can still go to heaven. But if you have left your obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ undone, then there’s no way your soul can be saved.
Let’s not leave anything undone when it comes to God. Let’s do the Lord’s will and be pleasing to Him.
We’ve all got a household chore we’re guilty of delaying (hello, unfolded laundry!), but spiritually speaking: What is one step of faith or obedience you’ve been putting off that you feel called to take today?”
