“For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” – Psalm 107:9

Hi dear readers! Thank you so much for your continued support in reading and following my blog. I appreciate you!
Are you satisfied? I mean: do you have enough? Many of us are always wanting more. More money. More food. More clothes. Just more. Now, don’t get me wrong: there’s nothing the matter with trying to better yourself. But at some point, we have to be content with what we have and who we are, without it having a negative effect on us.
There’s only one person to turn to for that, and that is Jesus. The Lord “satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness” (Psalm 107:9). Yes, He supplies all our physical needs. But the Lord also provides for our spiritual and emotional needs as well. That’s why David could pen the words, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). There is no lack in Christ Jesus.
God has given us access to all spiritual blessings in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). But, we must be in Christ in order to receive them. We have to seek Christ if we want satisfaction guaranteed. No other person or thing can give us that.
So if you’ve been wanting more just for the sake of it, recall the rich man who yielded plentifully. He said, “I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods” (Luke 12:18). “But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ (Luke 12:20). The Lord wants us laying up treasures for heaven, not storing up the goods of this world.
Solomon put is this way: “He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 5:10). If you’re in love with the idea of having more money or just more of anything, the more you make or get, the more you’re going to want, and you will never be satisfied.
What is it that will satisfy you? Whatever you’re in need or want of, I hope that you will say: I’m satisfied with Jesus. Let’s look unto Him.
“The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” – Isaiah 58:11
