“Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life; what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” – Matthew 6:25

Hey friends! I hope that this post finds you well. Thank you for continuing to read and show your support. I appreciate you!
During the middle of this pandemic, there are a lot of things about which we can worry. Many are worried about getting COVID and possibly dying from it. Some are worried about loved ones in nursing homes who are alone. Others are worried about where their next paycheck is coming from and how they’re going to pay the bills and put food on the table. They are all legitimate concerns.
But Christ instructs us that we shouldn’t worry. There’s a difference in having a concern and worrying about something. Jesus said not to worry about your life, what you will eat, or whay you will wear (Matthew 6:25).
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” (Matthew 6:26-27).
None of us, by worrying, can change anything. Worrying changes nothing. And besides, God takes care of the birds of the air, and He will take care of us, too. Instead of worrying, we should be seeking the kingdom of God first, then all the things we want to worry about will be provided to us (Matthew 6:33).
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:34). We have enough stuff to be concerned with today than to be worried about what will happen tomorrow. So let’s trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and lean not unto our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Do not worry, friends. God will take care of you.
