“Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4

Hey friends! I hope that you and your families are well. Thank you so much for your show of love and support in reading my blog. I love you, back! And as always, I appreciate you!
Chances are if you’re living in this year 2020 that you have mourned over something or someone. It’s a year like no other. I have mourned the loss of multiple loved ones. And I know many of you have, too. Some have mourned the loss of jobs, finances, and health. Yet, even in our mourning, God promises us that we will be comforted.
We see a beautiful picture of that comfort in the book of Isaiah. “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe away tears from all faces: the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken” (Isaiah 25:8).
Isn’t that an awesome promise? Death will be swallowed up forever and God will wipe away all tears. There will be no more mourning. The Lord has spoken, and we can stand on His promises.
Friends, we have comfort in knowing that the Lord sees, He knows, and He cares about what we’re going through. And He’s promised us that He will dry every tear from our eyes. Those who mourn are blessed because they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4).
You can have that promise of the Lord, if you will just obey Him. Believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24), repent of your sins (Luke 13:3), confess the name of Jesus (Romans 10:9-10), and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16). Then you can partake of all the promises of the Lord to His people.
Are you mourning? If you aren’t now, there will come a time when you will. It’s a part of life. But we can rest assured, if we are the Lord’s, then we will be comforted.
Thank God that He will wipe away all tears.
