“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 2:5
Hey, friends! I hope that you and your families are well. Thank you for continuing to show your support in reading. I appreciate you!!
The apostle Paul encourages us in Philippians chapter two to have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5). We saw in our last post that the mind of Christ is one of humility.
Christ was so humble that He, being in the form of God, took the form of a servant and came in the likeness of man (Philippians 2:7).
Jesus is God, but “being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” ( Philippians 2:8).
He came to serve and to save you and me (Luke 22:27). And He left His home in glory and all His honor and majesty to become a man and to die on the cross for us.
Because of His obedience, He is honored in that every knee will bow to Him and every tongue will confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).
Friends, we need to have the mind of Jesus. He was humble, He was a servant, and He was obedient.
Have you obeyed the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? If not, you can be obedient today. Believe that Jesus is Lord (John 8:24). Confess that He is (Romans 10:9-10). Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3). And be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16).
Let’s have the mind of Christ. Let’s obey God. Let’s be humble. And let’s serve one another.
