Hey, friends! I hope that you are well and staying healthy! Thank you for continuing to read and show me love and support. I am so thankful. And, as always, I appreciate you!

We’re living in some troubled times. People are afraid for their health and their lives. But my near-90-year-old aunt shared with me something pretty special about it. She’s not fretting over getting sick; she’s just thankful that the Lord has blessed her with many days.

And she knows why He’s blessed her: because He is good and she has held His Word close to her heart. She understands and has lived the proverb: “My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you” (Proverbs 3:1-2).

Keeping God’s commands will result in length of days, long life, and peace. And His commands are not burdensome (1 John 5:3). And following His commands is what the love of God is.

We shouldn’t stress ourselves out over the perils of this world – especially Christians. We can put our trust in the Lord and know that He will take care of us (Proverbs 3:5). If we really want to be healthy in the Lord’s sight, we will depart from evil and fear Him (Proverbs 3:7). “It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones” (Proverbs 3:8).

Are you worried about living long and having peace? Have you let your heart keep the Lord’s commands? Have you departed from evil? You can depart from evil today and be saved from eternal punishment.

All it takes is obedience to God’s will. Believe that Jesus is Lord, repent of your sins, confess the sweet name of Jesus, and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will be saved and can walk in the fear of the Lord keeping His commandments.

Length of days, long life, and peace can be yours.
