“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14
Hey good people! Thank-you for reading and showing me so much love and support. I really do appreciate you!
Jesus said that those who follow Him are the light of the world (Mt. 5:14). He wants us to let our lights shine (Mt. 5:16). We live in a dark, dark world where so much evil and hatred takes place on a daily basis. We really need some light if we are going to make it in this place.
I heard a sermon the other day about that kind of light. It was the light of Botham Jean.
You may have heard about his tragic death. But the message that I heard is about the light of his life. I hope that you will listen to it, too. It’s about 35 minutes in length, give or take a few. You can listen to it by clicking here: “Light Shining out of Darkness.”
Or you can watch the video here and navigate to the 32 minutes mark.
May God bless his family as they continue to grieve his loss. And may God bless you, too.
Let’s let our lights shine today. We never know if today might be our last.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matt. 5:16
