“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” – Romans 15:4

Hi, friends! I hope that you are well! I know it’s been a while, but as always, I appreciate you and your show of love and support! It’s reassuring to know that there are still kind people in the world. – ones who care about the Word of God and choose to do what’s right. So, thank you for joining along!
It’s easy to turn to worldly comforts when challenges come our way. We can binge-watch series on streaming services and sit mindlessly without thinking about the things bothering us. It’s also easy to turn to comfort foods by eating something “good.” This behavior can trap us in a cycle. We end up avoiding the one thing that brings the most consolation to our souls – the Bible.
Romans 15:4 says that the things in the Bible were written to give us hope. We can find comfort in the Scriptures.
No matter what we are going through, the Lord can and will strengthen us through His Word. When the storms of life hit us hard, we find a refuge in Jesus Christ. Notice Psalm 119:28. “This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.” The enemy wants to steal, to kill, and destroy us (John 10:10). Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, Friends, the Word of God is life! It is our comfort.
So, I’m committing to stay in His Word – even when things get tough. Satan wants for us to pull away from the Lord and God’s people. But God wants us to draw nearer and nearer to Him. We do this through the study of His Word and prayer.
I can’t let go of this hope. What about you?
