“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28
Hey friends! I hope that you are well. Thank you so much for reading and showing me love and support. I appreciate you!
I want to encourage you today. I found encouragement in this Scripture, and I hope that you will too. You know Romans 8:28. It says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purposes.”
I was feeling a bit down and was reminded of God’s promise to me in that verse. He didn’t say “one thing;” He didn’t say “some things.” He didn’t say “good things.” He said that all things will work together for good.
That means, bad things, sad things, happy things, and mad things will work together for my good. Even the situations that we are going through right now, where things seem so dismal and bleak, will work out for our good – for those of us who are called.
But who are the called? Those who are saved – those who have been justified (made right with God) by the blood of Christ (Romans 8:30).
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” – Romans 8:26
We have a Helper – the Holy Spirit – to assist us in our weaknesses and distress. He knows what we need before we even ask, and He intercedes on our behalf so that God can help us in our time of need.
I take comfort in Romans 8:28. Whatever happens…whatever!…I don’t have to worry because I know that God will work it out and fix it to where it benefits me in the end.
God has my best interests at heart. He has your best interests at heart, too. Are you called, though? Have you been saved? Jesus said, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). Will you believe and be baptized so that you can be justified – called according to His purposes?
Take courage friends. I have.
Everything will work out for your good.
