Is Anything Too Hard For God?

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. – Psalm 127:3

Hi friends! I hope that you are well. Thank you for reading and showing your support. I appreciate you!

Do you have children? If not, do you want to have kids? Some people have their quiver full of them. Others say that they are too expensive or too time consuming and decide that they don’t want any. But children are a gift from the Lord.

I’ve always wanted children of my own, but it seems like that idea has been tossed out the window, seeing as how in a just few years I’ll be past the child-bearing age. It’s something that’s caused me dismay. But I’m reminded of Hannah who prayed earnestly to the Lord for a child. She prayed and cried, and was even so depressed that she could not eat (1 Samuel 1:7-8). But the Lord heard her prayer and blessed her with Samuel (1 Samuel 1:20).

I’m also reminded of Sarah. She was 90 years old when she was told that she was to bear a child (Genesis 17:17). 90! She was way past the age of bearing children. And she knew it; that’s why she laughed when she heard God say that she would have a son (Genesis 18:12). God’s response was: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14).

And that’s what He’s saying to you and to me today: Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Whether it’s having children, getting that new job you want, paying all the bills, or getting back to full health – whatever you may face, nothing is too hard for God!

Be encouraged, today, my friends. God is in control and He can do all things.

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” – Matthew 19:26

  1. Nothing is too hard for God. You never know what tomorrow will bring. I often felt like Hannah and was reminded of her often during my very challenging pregnancies. I have an incompetent cervix and although I had some tough times and some losses too, God brought me out of them…with 2 adorable boys to boot. I wondered if I would be competent to carry them in spite of…maybe I wasn’t competent enough…at least vertically speaking….but God was. Bring him the desires of your heart daily.
    Be blessed!

  2. I’m glad that God blessed you with your 2 adorable boys. 😊 And, yes, you are right about not knowing what tomorrow will bring. God might bless me to adopt or be a foster parent. I’m open to whatever His will is. Thank you for sharing. 😊
