“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” – John 9:4

Hi! I hope that you are well and have had a good start to your day. As always, I appreciate you!!
What if today was your last day? Your last day at work? Your last day to see a loved one? Your last day to hold your child? Your last day to live?
How would you approach the day differently than if it wasn’t? Would you tell your spouse, your parents, or your friends that you love them? Would you embrace them a little longer? Would you be sure to smile and treat others with kindness? Most importantly, would your soul be right with the Lord?
Jesus said that He “must work the works of Him who sent [Him] while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). The same is true for us. Right now is the time to do God’s work because when night comes, our chances to do God’s will will be gone.
Notice 2 Corinthians 6:2. “For He says: ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” God doesn’t want us to wait until our death-bed moments to get right with Him. He is a right now God. Now is the day of salvation. We may not be here tomorrow to obey His commands. His commands are not meant to be a burden.
Jesus was born. He lived and died and was raised from the dead. His death and resurrection bring salvation to us all. We can have that salvation today if we obey Him as He has said to do the following:
“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God” (1 John 4:15). “While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them” (John 12:36). “And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16).
Tomorrow may not happen for you or for me. Give your life to the Lord now. Don’t wait. Won’t you obey the gospel of Jesus Christ – today?
“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” – Romans 13:11
