Finding Forgiveness: Sins Cast into the Sea

He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.” – Micah 7:19

Cast Into the Sea of Forgiveness

Hi, friends!! I hope that you are well! Thank you so much for your love and support of my writing. As always, I appreciate you!!!

I love the beach. Looking out on the ocean at how vast and wide it is leaves me in awe. If you dropped something in it, it’s likely lost forever. When I think about how much God loves me, I’m reminded of the sea. Micah 7:19 says that God “cast[s] all our sins into the depths of the sea.”

Every wrong we’ve ever done, every hurtful word we’ve ever uttered, every heart we’ve ever broken – the Lord has cast it all into the very depths of the sea. Our sins are all there – gone forever, never to be found or brought up again by God.

That is amazing to me. That humbles me. That makes me eternally grateful.

The God of the universe sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins so that they could be thrown into the ocean – never to be remembered again. Think about the worst thing you’ve ever experienced at the hands of another person or the worst thing you’ve ever done being completely forgotten from memory and the slate being wiped clean. That’s how much God loves us. He’s removed our sins so far from us that they are forgotten.

What a beautiful love.

Have you turned to the Lord for the forgiveness that He offers? You can accept His forgiveness by obeying Him in believing that Jesus is Lord, confessing that He is Lord, repenting of your sins, and being immersed in water for the forgiveness of your sins. Don’t you want to have your sins – all your past wrongs – cast into the depths of the sea?

If you do, please reach out to me with any questions or for further study. I’d be happy to assist you!
