“Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” – 1 Chronicles 28:10

Hi, friends! I hope that you are well! Thank you so much for reading. I appreciate you!!
What has God chosen you to do? Some of us are chosen to preach. Some are chosen to mentor. Others are chosen to encourage. Many are chosen to teach. There are so many different functions that God has chosen for His children. But all of us who are followers of Christ are chosen to proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
When King David gave Solomon instructions on how to build the temple, he said to him wise words from which we all can take lessons.
“Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.”
Here are 5 Lessons we can learn from what David shared with Solomon.
- We need to know God. How do we know God? By studying His Word and meditating on it.
- We must serve God with a loyal heart and a willing mind. It’s not out of compulsion or halfheartedly. We love God with all that we have and will remain faithful until the end – no matter what.
- If we seek God, we will find Him. God will never forsake those who seek Him (Psalm 9:10). The word says, “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him” (Lamentations 3:25).
- If we forsake the Lord, He will turn us away forever. “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:23).
- The Lord has chosen you to do His work. So, be strong, and do it!
Whatever good work God has chosen you to do, be courageous. There will always be naysayers and those who kick against the will of God and willfully continue in their sin. But, we must continue to proclaim His praises to a lost and dying world. Let’s be strong and do it!
Our God is so good.
