I Stand For Christ
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” – 1 Cor. 16:13
Hey good people! I want you to know that I’m grateful for how you show your love and support of me in reading. Thanks a bunch for doing so. May the Lord bless you and your families.
I appreciate you!!!
In reading the book of Isaiah, I came across an interesting statement, in particular. “[…] If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all” (Isa. 7:9, CSB).
It’s a true statement. We have to be steadfast and confident in our faith in Christ in order to be established with the Lord. I, for one, am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It really is the power of God to save all who will believe (Rom. 1:16).
Christians stand in the grace of Christ – “through whom also we have access by faith into the grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Rom. 5:2).
We stand by faith (Rom. 11:20). It’s the Lord who is able to make us stand (Rom. 14:4). And we stand in the gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:1).
If anyone does not stand in faith in Jesus Christ, they will not be ready when it’s time to stand before the Lord in judgment. And “we will all stand before the judgment seat of God (Rom. 14:10).
So let us “stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” (Gal. 5:1). Then we will be careful not to fall (1 Cor. 10:12) into the schemes of the devil (Eph. 6:11).
If you do not stand in the gospel of Christ – if you are not standing in faith, then you can. All you have to do is obey Christ: believe that He is Lord (Jn. 8:24), confess His name to others (Mt. 10:32), repent of your sins (Lk. 13:3), and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins (Mk. 16:16). Then you will be able to stand in the grace of God, stand by faith, and stand in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Don’t sit on your faith. Let’s stand for what’s good. Let’s stand for what’s right. Let’s stand for Jesus.
“Stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” – Col. 4:12
